If you like to stretch your toes out in your footwear, then the Injinji Trail Midweight Mini-Crew needs to be added to your hiking kit. When I describe these socks to my friends and family, I call them gloves for my feet. I own quite a few pairs of Injinji socks and believe they’re worth money.
Thru-hikers clocking up big miles and trail runners will appreciate its well-cushioned and well-designed construction that’ll protect and keep you comfortable. Each toe gets a little glove and keeps them entirely wrapped. It’s said to help prevent blisters between the toes; because you have a layer of fabric to prevent running.
Like many high-quality socks, it has specific cushioning and compression areas to protect your feet and give them extra help in the areas they need it. Flip the socks inside out; you’ll find enhanced cushioning around the ankles, heel, and forefoot, all high-impact zones when walking, hiking, and running. The toe pods offer plenty of room. However, the first time you put them on, they might feel a little strange.
The Injinji socks seamless construction and the elasticized areas around the arch and ankle keep the sock in place on a long hike. The toe-construction prevents bunching, making the fit that much more specific to the space of your feet. Overall, I love the fit and the feel of these socks and will continue to buy them when a pair needs replacing.
