So who wins in the Jetboil Flash Vs MiniMo Vs MicroMo batttle of camp cooking stoves?
Jetboil MicroMo and Jetboil MiniMo are both excellent camp cooking stoves, and they’re near identical. They have the same burner, regulator, shroud, control valve, canister stabilizer, and baseplate attachment. Both are genuine cooking stoves – and not just super-fast water boiler stoves like the Jetboil Flash.
I am not badmouthing the Flash; it is fantastic at what it does – boiling fast and if that is your priority, then don’t hang around comparing the 3 – get the Jetboil Flash Here.

Even though two of the stoves are near enough the same, I would recommend the MiniMo over MicroMo due to the bigger cup size. The 1-liter capacity of the MiniMo means that it would be possible to cook for 2, which for me would be a struggle with 0.8-liter MicroMo.
While MicroMo is undoubtedly lighter and can be more useful for thru-hikers who cook for one or like to go ultralight, it’s the least preferred choice for the majority of hikers.
Finally, the Jetboil Flash came last due to a lack of versatility and weaker performance in windy conditions. The Flash can’t simmer either, which the other two can, it is all about super-fast boiling time, and if that’s your thing, you’ll be super happy with the Flash.
